The Silver Age
The Marvel Age started in 1961, when Marvel Comics ...Its the comic figures that represent the company. With new Spider-man, Batman and X-Men movies on the way, as well as many more properties announced and in development, the future of the genre really can't go anywhere but up, up and away. In 1934, Eastern Color Printing Company decided to sell these books directly to the public for 10 cents each. It is not insignificant that the French term contains no indication of subject matter, unlike the American terms "comics" and "funnies", which imply an art form not to be taken seriously. A year later, in June 1994, Voyager Communications, Inc.Atlas unsuccessfully attempted to revive superheroes in Young Men 24-28 (December 1953, June 1954), with the Human Torch (art by Syd Shores and Dick Ayers, variously), the Sub-Mariner (drawn and most stories written by Bill Everett), and Captain America (writer Stan Lee, artist John Romita Sr.).
